This is how things usually work.

  1. Someone calls me and we start a conversion. They ask questions about me. I ask questions about them. 
  2. Further conversations ensue. People talk to people. Yellow lights turn to green. Ideas emerge and gel. 
  3. I like to have enough back-and-forth discussion so both sides know exactly what’s going to be in the Proposal, including price numbers and timelines. 
  4. I submit a Proposal. 
  5. The organization accepts it, or asks for changes and then accepts it. 
  6. I’m careful and thorough. I do good work. Clients are pleased and impressed. 
  7. Everybody’s happy, and once again I’ve helped a nonprofit thrive and change the world.
